The joy of
living is clouded when the seeker has no dynamic goal or ideal. If there is a
goal, then life gathers a sharpness - a glow of its own accord. This momentum
adds a peculiar luxury to life and enriches the living. How sad that our modern
men have no such ideal in themselves to inspire them! How poor are the
creatures who live life with no ideal, with no fine purpose, with no
transforming great ambition!
To
one who has a secret altar to surrender and strive on, the sweat and toil of
life become a constant victory marches forward and onward, singing hallelujah
even in the direst of situations. Such people live true to their own higher
Self, unlike those who live the life dictated by others around them, a life
ordered by the happenings in front of them.
To
live your own ideal heroically, careless of the world and its opinion, ever
inspired by the very glow of your own creative urge, unperturbed by all the
mighty oppositions from others is real living. This is the greatest miracle on
God’s own Earth
